Dr. Samir obtained MBBS from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, Assam in 1998. He passed Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) and MD (Psychiatry) from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, in 2002 and 2007 respectively. Currently, he works as Professor & Head in Dept. of Psychiatry, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, where he attends to outpatients and inpatients and is actively involved in teaching and research.
He can manage patients who speak English, Hindi, Oriya, Assamese or Kannada.
